Did you know the University of Houston has an organization created just for you?

 

UH Coog Moms is the official organization for families and supporters of University of Houston students.

 

While our name honors the incredible moms who founded this community, our organization proudly welcomes all family members and supporters, including fathers, grandparents, guardians, siblings, spouses, partners, mentors, and anyone who plays an important role in a student's success.

 

Our mission is simple: to build a welcoming community where families can connect, stay informed, support one another, and celebrate the Cougar journey together.

 

What Does UH Coog Moms Do?

Build Community Through Fun

College is a journey for families, too! Throughout the year, we host a variety of social events designed to bring our Cougar families together, including:

  • Watch parties
  • Tailgates
  • Happy Hours
  • Holiday Cookie Exchange
  • Family Weekend Happy Hour
  • Spring Social & Cornhole Tournament

Whether you're new to UH or have been cheering on your Cougar for years, there's always an opportunity to connect.

 

Keep Families Informed

Navigating college can feel overwhelming, and we're here to help.

Members receive access to:

  • Informative general meetings featuring campus speakers
  • A private Facebook community where families can ask questions, share experiences, and support one another
  • Resources and updates to help you confidently support your student's success

Support Our Cougars

Giving back is at the heart of who we are.

UH Coog Moms proudly:

  • Volunteers at campus events such as Cougar Cupboard and Finals Mania
  • Provides grants to campus organizations that positively impact students
  • Awards at least eight $1,000 scholarships each year to eligible member students
  • Continues to invest in future generations through endowed scholarships

What's the Commitment?

The best part? You choose your level of involvement.

Some families simply enjoy access to scholarships, campus information, and the online community. Others attend social events throughout the year or become involved as volunteers and leaders.
